[Word] Word 7 - Skip numbering

Grace,
Well, good but I have to tell you that it does not sound like I will like Word 2007 and so I am not anxious to go there at all. I hope that Word 2010 - coming out in, I think, June - will have lots of bugs resolved.
Do you by any chance see any corrupted styles or char styles in Word 2007 because I am wondering if Microsoft ever fixed this bug which came out in Word 2000 for the first time and still happens on a regular basis in Word 2003. Of course, I have macros that fix this problem thanks to the list and a good book I found on this macro but really why don't they fix this issue.

Hi Bonnie
Thanks for the input on this. Funnily enough when I brought the Word 2000
templates into Word 7 I noticed that there was a No List style inside the
organiser and I tried to delete it but Word would not allow it because it
was a built-in style. However although it is sitting there inside my
organiser it will not allow me to use it. There is a manage styles menu
inside Word 7 where it shows all the styles. The No List is there but beside
it is the word "last" and I cannot show it.
Ed wrote me a macro for this and David gave me a good work-around to use a
backspace so this problem has been solved.

Grace,
I was just wondering...in Word 2003 there is a style called "No List" which
removes the number. If it exists in Word 2007, you could add this as a
button to your toolbar you could then just click on it (or assign a
keystroke to it) to remove the number but maybe this is not what you meant,
not sure.

David you are a genius. This works like a bomb. Both works for numbers and
bullets and it is so simple. A really nice work around. Thank you so much.

Hi Grace
Workaround:
-----------------
You can achieve what you want by placing the cursor at the beginning of the
text of the para and pressing backspace.
More Info:
---------------
I have raised this issue on another list and nobody can get the button to
work.
