[Word] OT: Windows Shortcut Question

Hi Phil...not Ron, but here's my take.

I love mapping. It assigns a letter drive to whatever share you point to.
The mapped drive stays there until you remove it or the share is no longer
viable (deleted, etc.). Each time you boot, Windows checks all mappings.

It would be very similar to having several USB flash drives plugged in, they
are listed there in the My Computer, mapped drives are under Network Drives.

Removing mapping is as simple as setting it up...Tools > Map Network Drive
(in WinXP), right mouse click and choose Disconnect to remove. I have a
folder called Projects, its where the bulk of what I do is stored...with of
course multiple folders in it. I have it mapped to p:\...for Projects :)

And do elaborate on the 10 folders list!

Liz
