[Word] Special Characters before Numbers of numbered lists

Hi Seena

Here's a good read...shows how to do it in Word 2003 and Word 2007. Life

Now I am not quite sure what you are trying to do...are you trying to 
customize the style of the numbered list? So that instead of:

1. <tab indent> contents of paragraph
2.  <tab indent> contents of paragraph

you want:

#1. <tab indent> contents of paragraph
#2. <tab indent> contents of paragraph

To do so in Word 2007, you should be able to use the black arrow (drop down 
arrow) on the side of the number list button the ribbon, and then choose a 
style and customize it. See page 8 from the file I referenced above. Page 9 
has a side by side comparison of how to it in 2003 and 2007.
