OO OO, a key clue. You say it is limited to one new document. Sounds like
that one document has been corrupted. So check out these links and apply
the corrupt document troubleshooting tips in them (on a backup copy of the
file).

Note: While the steps below work in Word 2002 & 2003, each of these versions
has a troubleshooting tool that automates the process (except for deleting
temp files). You can read about & download the 2002 Support
Template<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319299&Product=wd2002>and

My thanks to Rebel<http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showprofile.pl?User=Rebel>for
pointing out these tools.

If that doesn't work, then apply a basic computer trouble shooting
technique. That being the really tricky thing of figuring out what changed
right before this problem started happening. You might get lucky and
remember the specific change, but all too often the change is something you
are not even aware of, especially in a corporate situation. The change
might be to your computer, or if it is happening only in one document I'd be
concerned about corruption in that document.
